Balance
Have you fallen recently? Do you find that you feel unsteady or unsure of yourself when you are out in the community? Are you fearful of falling in your home or when you are out and about? If so, physical therapy can help with your balance and build your confidence for moving safely in your home or out in your community. We employ a variety of different activities and techniques to improve your body’s ability to safely navigate challenging situations.
In addition, if you are experiencing dizziness or vertigo it can be debilitating. Over 50% of the population will experience some form of dizziness or balance disorder during their lifetime. It can happen at anytime, however it is more frequent as we age. Falls due to dizziness and balance disorders are the leading cause of injury, and subsequent loss of independence in senior citizens.
