The team of physical therapists at Health In Balance are now trained as preferred providers of the Graston Technique, an instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization technique that uses stainless steel instruments with unique treatment edges and angles to glide along a patient’s muscles, tendons, or ligaments to release soft tissue adhesions and restrictions.
Patients usually receive 1-2 treatments per week over a span of 4-5 weeks. The average number of treatments per episode of care ranges from 6 visits for acute cases and 12 visits for more chronic cases.
Before physical therapy at Health In Balance PT I felt like I had to learn to walk all over again. I have learned the value of stretching in order to perform certain exercises and movements. I have a better feel for the role of balance in my day to day movements and activities. I value the knowledge I have gained by going through this process and will continue to practice what I have learned in my daily life.LP, Patient
